How to Download the Orion Stars App
The Orion Stars game application is not available through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. It must be downloaded directly from the platform's official download server. This document explains exactly how to install the app on Android phones, iPhones, iPads, and Windows computers, and covers the most common problems players encounter during installation.
Why the App Isn't in the Official App Stores
Apple and Google restrict sweepstakes-style gaming applications from their stores under their content policies. Rather than modify the game to fit App Store requirements—which would limit features and functionality—the Orion Stars platform distributes the application directly from its own servers. This is a standard practice across the sweepstakes gaming industry and is not unique to Orion Stars.
Direct installation from an APK (Android) or enterprise distribution profile (iOS) carries no additional risk compared to installing from the App Store, as long as you are using the official download link. The official download link for all devices is:
The same link works for Android, iOS, and Windows. The server detects your device type and serves the appropriate file. Always use this link—avoid downloading from third-party file sharing sites or links sent by unknown contacts.
Note: The download link provides only the game application. You cannot create a player account from within the app. You must obtain a Player ID and Password from your agent before you can log in.
Installing on Android
Android installations require enabling a setting that allows apps from sources outside the Google Play Store. This setting is called "Install Unknown Apps" or "Allow from Unknown Sources" and is disabled by default on most Android devices. Here is the full process:
- Open the download link in your Chrome browser. Tap the download button on this page or navigate directly to the official player URL from Chrome—not Samsung Internet or another browser, as Chrome handles APK downloads most reliably.
- When prompted, tap "Download" to accept the APK file. The file size is typically between 50 and 150 MB. The download should complete within a few minutes on a standard connection.
- Once the download completes, tap the notification or navigate to your Downloads folder. Tap the APK file to begin installation.
- If your device shows a "Blocked by Play Protect" warning or "Install Blocked" message: Go to Settings → Apps → Special App Access → Install Unknown Apps. Find Chrome (or whichever browser you used) in the list and toggle on "Allow from this source." Return to the file and tap it again.
- Tap "Install" on the installation confirmation screen. The installation takes roughly 15–30 seconds.
- Tap "Open" when installation completes. On first launch, grant any permissions the app requests (typically storage access).
- Log in with your Player ID and Password as provided by your agent.
The "unknown sources" setting does not need to remain enabled after installation. You can return to Settings and toggle it off once the app is installed.
Installing on iPhone or iPad
iOS installation uses Apple's Enterprise Distribution system, which requires trusting a developer certificate. This process is different from Android but is equally straightforward once you understand the steps. You must use Safari—other iOS browsers cannot initiate enterprise app installs.
- Open the download link in Safari specifically. If you are reading this on your iPhone, tap the download button above. If the link opens in Chrome or another browser, copy it and paste it into Safari.
- Follow the on-screen prompts. Safari will display a dialog asking if you want to allow the website to download a configuration profile. Tap "Allow."
- Go to Settings → General → VPN & Device Management. You should see the Orion Stars enterprise profile listed under "Enterprise App."
- Tap the profile name and then tap "Trust." A confirmation prompt will appear. Tap "Trust" again to confirm. This step is required because Apple requires explicit user approval to trust any enterprise-distributed application.
- Return to your home screen. The Orion Stars app icon should now be present. Tap it to launch.
- Log in with your Player ID and Password.
If you see an "Untrusted Enterprise Developer" error when attempting to open the app, it means step 4 was not completed or was not saved correctly. Return to Settings → General → VPN & Device Management and complete the trust step again.
iOS enterprise profiles may expire periodically. If the app stops working after a period of normal use, the profile may have expired. Delete the app, re-download from the official link, and repeat the installation process.
Installing on Windows PC
- Open the download link in your web browser on your Windows computer. Any modern browser works for Windows downloads.
- Download the installer package. Depending on the current version, this may be a .exe installer or a .zip archive.
- If you downloaded a .zip file: Right-click the file and select "Extract All." Extract to a folder on your desktop or in your Documents folder. Open the extracted folder.
- Run the installer (.exe file). Windows SmartScreen may display a warning that reads "Windows protected your PC." This appears because the application is not registered with Microsoft's program (which requires significant fees). Click "More info" and then "Run anyway."
- Complete the installation wizard. Accept the default installation location unless you have a specific reason to change it.
- Launch the app from the desktop shortcut or Start menu entry.
- Log in with your Player ID and Password.
If your antivirus software flags the installer, you may need to add an exception for the Orion Stars application. This is a false positive common to gaming applications that operate outside standard distribution channels. If you are uncertain, contact your agent for assistance.
Logging In After Installation
After installation, the app will present a login screen asking for your Player ID and Password. These are not the same as any backend credentials. Your Player ID and Password must be provided by the agent or store where you registered. The app cannot create accounts—account creation happens on the backend side managed by your agent.
If you do not yet have a Player ID, contact the agent who referred you to the platform. If you need to find an agent, contact us through our Contact page and we can help connect you.
Understanding Device Binding
Orion Stars accounts are bound to a single device at a time for security and anti-fraud purposes. When you log into the app for the first time on a device, that device becomes the bound device for your account. You cannot simultaneously be logged into the same account on two devices.
If you get a new phone or tablet and want to move your account to it, follow these steps:
- Log out of the app completely on your old device before attempting to install on the new one.
- Install the app on the new device using the official download link.
- Log in with your existing Player ID and Password. Your account balance and progress are stored server-side, not on the device, so everything transfers automatically.
If you receive a "Device Bind" error or "Already logged in" error when attempting to log in on a new device, your old device's session is still active. If you can access the old device, log out of the app manually. If you cannot access the old device (it was lost, stolen, or damaged), contact your agent. The agent can unbind your account from the old device through the backend portal, allowing you to log in on your new device.
Troubleshooting Common Installation Problems
"App Not Installed" (Android)
Usually caused by insufficient storage space or a corrupted earlier version. Delete any existing Orion Stars app, free up at least 500 MB of storage space, and try downloading again. Also confirm you enabled "install from unknown sources" for your browser.
"Untrusted Developer" (iOS)
Go to Settings → General → VPN & Device Management. Find the enterprise profile and tap Trust. If you do not see the profile, the download did not complete—return to Safari and repeat the installation steps.
Blank Screen After Launch
The app may be loading data from the server. Wait 30 seconds. If still blank, close the app completely, ensure you have an active internet connection, and reopen. If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall from the official download link.
Wrong Username or Password
Contact your agent. There is no self-service password reset for player accounts. Your agent must reset your password through the backend portal. Provide your agent with your Player ID (not your password) when requesting a reset.
Keeping the App Updated
Because the app is not distributed through the App Store, updates are not pushed automatically. When a new version is released, you will typically receive a notification within the app prompting you to download the latest version, or your agent will inform you that an update is available. When an update is needed, use the same official download link, download the new version, and install over the existing one. On Android, you do not need to uninstall first—the new APK will update the existing installation. On iOS, the process mirrors the initial installation.
